KDP AI Studio 1.1.0 — Android archive

This is the archived, signed ARM64 Android build used for the 1.1.0 tutorial recordings. Its build source revision was not recorded alongside the artifact, so these archive notes do not assign later changes to this binary.

Install on Android 7.0 or newer, on a 64-bit ARM device. Back up your books before uninstalling an existing app. The release package records the installer's version, signing certificate and SHA-256 checksum.

• Export an ebook manuscript PDF and separate front-cover JPEG for Kindle Create Print Replica, with independent page selection.
• Create a separate grayscale copy of a book while keeping the original book and color cover artwork.
• Open Google Fonts browsing links from font pickers.
• Export tools are grouped into paperback files, ebook files, listing metadata and backup/transfer. Text and blank pages no longer count as undrawn artwork.
• Planning uses verified Amazon.com paperback category evidence, exact picker paths and up to three placements. Ebook category verification remains separate.
• Gemini planning has provider-specific instructions and separate skill, category catalog and JSON Schema attachments on desktop and Android.
• Stronger plan validation and offline category/import checks.

Known limitations

• Gemini planning may need a corrective follow-up; first-attempt reliability was not established for this release.
• The KDP browser autofill extension was still planning-only in this version.

• Android uses the same release signing identity as 1.0.9. Export your books as backup ZIPs before uninstalling an existing app.

• Planning skills respect KDP's 24-page minimum and explain adjustments to smaller page counts.
• Plan import repairs common almost-JSON output and shows clearer errors and persistent warnings.
• Back-cover prompts describe quiet artwork where a barcode belongs instead of asking AI to draw a barcode.
• Cover lettering controls include title faces, palette-based colors, text positioning and a faster preview.
• Failed font downloads show a compact warning with Retry.
• Android notifications no longer hide behind the Jobs control; network requests use bundled root certificates to address certificate failures on some phones.
• Desktop image generation can use the local Promptline tool to queue prompts into ChatGPT or Gemini.

• Automatic backups keep a ZIP of each book in your chosen folder and offer restoration after reinstalling. "Back up all books" exports the whole library.
• Create a book from a JSON plan file, or start an empty book using images you already have.
• Per-design controls can retain original artwork and omit the following blank page; cards show those exceptions.
• Tracing changes are reflected immediately and invalidate stale PDF exports.
• Page prompts no longer unnecessarily ask for reference images or treat new designs as edits.
• Android prompt dialogs include "Open in Gemini", and planning skills can be shared with ChatGPT or Gemini.

Changes from 1.0.6

• The app is now called KDP AI Studio.
• Monochrome books have a per-page "Trace this page" switch so selected pages can retain their original artwork. Blank and copyright pages are no longer traced.
• "Insert page" can add a design, blank or copyright page anywhere in the book.

Installation

• Windows: signed installer for 64-bit Windows 10/11; upgrades in place.
• Android: universal APK for Android 7.0 or newer, signed with the release certificate.
• Android 1.0.3–1.0.6 used a different signing identity and cannot be upgraded in place to this release. Export your books as ZIP first, then uninstall the old app, install this version and import the backups.
